Mike has coached high school/club volleyball for the last 16 years. He has coached at several different clubs and high schools - including perennial volleyball power high schools Mater Dei and Upland. Mike led his 2005 Mavericks 13-1 team to a 6th place finish at the Volleyball Festival.

Mike’s volleyball career began in 1974 while playing for his Air Force team in Spain that won the Mediterranean championships held in England. After returning to the States, Mike played on several adult teams and continues to play grass/walleyball doubles. When Mike was in his 20/30’s he won several tennis, racquetball, and table tennis tournaments.

Married to his wife, Monica, for 34 years and raising two wonderful daughters, Raquel and Michelle, are Mike’s greatest accomplishments. The new generation has arrived with grandchildren twins Blake and Avery (3 ½ yrs) and newborn Abigail (2 ½ months). Mike is certified as an Acquisition Professional of Manufacturing, Production, and Quality Assurance for his job with the Defense Contract Management Agency.

Mike’s latest hobby is riding his bicycle down the Green River bike trail. He has logged over 2,000 miles in the last nine months.
