Sondra’s graduated from Hueneme High School where she was the Chanel League MVP, Team MVP, and made Honorable Mention for C.I.F. as a setter. In her 4 years of varsity volleyball, her team compiled a record of 48-2. She also played club volleyball for Southern California Volleyball Club.

Sondra then received a scholarship to play volleyball at NCAA Division 1 Boise State University. Sondra was a four year starter for the Lady Broncos.

After completing her degree at Boise State, Sondra coached in both Boise and Ventura County where she coached for several years at her former club, Southern California Volleyball Club. She has also coached at West Coast Volleyball Club and Boise Volleyball Club.

In 2008, Sondra coached the Ramona H.S. Freshman team to a league championship. The following year, she went on to coach Riverside North as their girls varsity Head Coach. In 2010, Sondra will be an assistant girl's volleyball coach at M.L. King High School where she teaches special education.

Sondra is not only a coach at Mavericks, but as just as important, is a parent of a Mavericks player. After evaluating several clubs in the Southern California area, Sondra and her husband decided to place their daughter on a Mavericks team. The decision has been awesome for Sondra, her daughter, and the Mavericks.

Sondra feels that the Maverick’s program brings a blend of the best aspects of club volleyball. The program provides sound fundamental teaching and love for the game, competent, passionate, ethical coaches, along with parents that support and interact with each other like family. Sondra is excited to be part of the Maverick team this year as not only a parent, but as a coach.
