2010 marks Phil Sutherland's 12th year as Owner/Director of the Mavericks Volleyball Club. Phil not only successfully runs one of the most successful volleyball clubs in Southern California, but has also achieved tremendous success as a coach. Phil is one of only 5 current club coaches in Southern California to have earned a gold medal in the ultra-competitive “Open” division at the Junior Olympics. He is the ONLY Inland Empire coach to earn this prestigious title. Phil has coached 6 players that have earned All-Tournament honors at Junior Olympics. He has also earned 5 first place finishes in SCVA Regional Championship tournaments His knowledge and updated coaching skills continue to draw top players from all area of Southern California. He is well-respected among top college coaches and amongst his peers in the world of club volleyball.
Phil will be coaching both the 13-1s and the 17-1s in 2010.
